Meet Our High School Team
Dr. Harrison, High School Principal
Please help us welcome Dr. Harrison as the new principal of Bradford Academy High School. Dr. Harrison comes to Bradford Academy from Vista Meadows Academy where she was the principal for the past seven years. Previously, she served as a teacher for 10 years. The selection of Dr. Harrison is the result of a comprehensive search process that included an interview process with teachers, staff and administrators.
Dr. Harrison holds a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Math from Western Michigan University and Master of Education Leadership from Eastern Michigan University, a specialty in general supervision and administration from Wayne State University and a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialty in mathematics from Wayne State University.
“I’m looking forward to joining the Bradford family and building relationships with staff, students and families,” said Dr. Harrison. “Bradford has such a strong foundation and I look forward to ensuring every student is provided with an exceptional educational experience with strong school culture.”
Mr. Adrian Edwards, High School Assistant Principal
Please help us congratulate Mr. Adrian Edwards, who was promoted to the new high school assistant principal of Bradford Academy. Mr. Edwards started this role in the fall as an interim assistant principal and officially took the role in January. He previously taught Physical Education and is the Athletic Director at Bradford Academy.
He attended Illinois State University for his undergraduate degree and Wayne State University for his graduate degree! He has been in education for over 20 years. He is most looking forward to working with the student body as a whole as well as all of the staff and parents.
“What I think makes Bradford strong is the way the staff works together. We are able to depend on each other for help,” explained Mr. Edwards.
Meet Our Elementary and Middle School Team
Mrs. Widad Luqman, K-8 Assistant Principal
Please help us welcome Ms. Widad Luqman as Bradford Academy’s K-8 assistant principal. Ms. Luqman started this role in December. She attended Wayne State University for her entire higher education. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, a Master’s Degree in Bilingual/Bicultural Education, and her endorsements in Early Childhood Education, Language Arts and English as a Second Language as well as her Educational Specialist Degree.
She has worked in education since 1999 as a teacher and has been a STEM consultant, trainer and presenter. Ms. Luqman looks forward to bringing new, innovative changes to Bradford’s educational program.
“Our staff and students have a genuine love for one another. We have dedicated staff who go above and beyond each and every day. We lead with love here at Bradford and it shows,” Ms. Luqman said.
Mr. Jason Veitch, K-8 Assistant Principal
Please help us congratulate Mr. Jason Veitch on his promotion as the K-8 assistant principal of Bradford Academy. Mr. Veitch started this role in February and previously taught 7th-grade science at Bradford Academy.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Western Michigan University. Previous to his time at Bradford, Mr. Veitch taught grades 5-8 for 13.5 years.
“What I think makes Bradford strong is the dedicated group of educators working towards the common goal of molding career and college ready scholars,” said Mr. Veitch.
Ms. Montrelle Baldwin, K-8 Dean of Students
Please help us congratulate Ms. Montrelle Baldwin on her promotion as Bradford’s new k-8 dean of students. Ms. Baldwin started this role in February. and was previously Bradford’s parent liaison. She has more than 20 years of experience working with children and families.
Ms. Baldwin attended Michigan State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Family Community Services and her Master’s in Social Work. She is passionate about working and creating an environment in which everyone can thrive.
“I’m looking forward to motivating, educating and advocating for students to ensure that they have opportunities to become optimistic, productive and self-sufficient adults. I am also looking forward to partnering with parents in the educational process,” explained Ms. Baldwin. “Bradford is a strong community of educators, students and parents. We work together as a family and are committed to achieving academic success.”
