Dear Bradford Family,
Our long-awaited winter break officially begins today. On behalf of all the teachers and staff at Bradford, we wanted to take a moment to share how much we appreciate you. This year has had its challenges, but because of you and your family, we made it through together. Thank you for making the first half of our school year one to remember. We couldn’t be more proud of all of you, our students, parents/guardians, and families who have walked alongside us this school year.
We know the holidays will look different this year and we wanted to provide you with resources to talk to your children about the current situation. Please, create space for kids to talk about their questions, fears, concerns and ideas during this season. Here are some resources for you to help talk with your child about social and emotional health:
- Preparing your kids for the holidays during COVID
- Mental Health Foundation
- Exploring Feelings – Adventures in Learning – PBS Parents
- Why Do We Lose Control of Our Emotions?
- Talking to Kids about the Coronavirus – ChildMind
Bradford will always be here for you and your family. We are eager and prepared to continue moving the needle on your child’s education for the remainder of the school year! We got this!
Thank you for your continued support and partnership in your child’s education.
We wish you and your loved ones a safe, holiday season and a peaceful New Year!
Happy Holidays! See you back at school virtually on Monday, January 4.
