Principal Appreciation Month at Bradford Academy

October is Principal Appreciation Month and at Bradford Academy we couldn’t be more excited to highlight our hardworking and dedicated administration for all that they do. We take pride in providing both a unique and wholesome education, and that starts with our leadership. We want to take this opportunity to celebrate our leadership and explain what makes them such an important piece of our community.

This first administrator we would like to celebrate is our K-8 Principal Jason Veitch. Jason started in this role in February 2020 and previously taught 7th-grade science at Bradford Academy. He holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Western Michigan University. Previous to his time at Bradford, Mr. Veitch taught grades 5-8 for 13.5 years.

The next person we want to highlight is our high school principal, Dr. Phillip Price. Dr. Price is committed to student growth and development. Mr. Price inspires Bradford High School students and an energetic and enthusiastic staff. His years of a dedicated, results-oriented mindset helps establish and achieve goals for ongoing academic success.

The last administrator that we would like to showcase is our K-8 Assistant Principal, Te’Niece Dixon. Te’Niece was born and raised in Flint, Michigan, and later moved to Detroit to pursue a career in Special Education at Wayne State University. She furthered her education at Grand Valley State University and developed her administrative skills and her passion for providing access to quality educational opportunities to underrepresented populations of children. Te’Niece has made such an impact at Bradford Academy and she does it all with compassion, patience, and respect.

Our leaders will always be a fundamental part of our school community, and we can’t thank them enough for their compassion, dedication and hard work. They serve as the backbone of our school, the ones inspiring change, and the mentors who shape our youth’s future. While this month may mark the official celebration, every day is an opportunity to recognize and support these outstanding individuals.
