Bradford Academy is a tuition-free, prekindergarten through 12th-grade school located in
Southfield, Michigan. Bradford serves more than 1,400 students totaling over 900 families from the Northwest region of Wayne County and the southwest region of Oakland County.

The academic rigor and focus on excellence is a vital component of Bradford. Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement courses and are also given additional support if it is needed. Bradford students are ready for college upon completion of their senior year. In 2018, more than 4.5 million dollars was awarded to Bradford’s graduating seniors who were moving onto college! Two students received full-ride scholarships based on academics.
We have an amazing, family-like culture, where the teachers care deeply for their students. Families praise Bradford’s outstanding teachers and school culture, while the before and after school care program and extracurricular activities are valued.
Our student-athletes are also thriving in the classroom. The track and field team had a cumulative 3.0 GPA this past year and six students qualified for the state meet. Our football and basketball programs are rising to the top as well!
Transportation is also a valuable addition and can be a deciding factor for parents who are choosing where their students will go to school. Limited space for transportation based distance and first come first serve. The earlier you confirm your enrollment and complete the process the better chance you’ll have to reserve your student(s) spot on the bus.
More important, Bradford is home to students like Jada and Andre. Jada and Andre’s mom is a
mom living in Detroit. She picked Bradford because a friend recommended Bradford after having difficulty finding a school to fit the needs of her students.
Jada attended Bradford from 1st – 8th grade then was accepted and transferred to Cass Tech
High School, a magnet school in the city of Detroit. After only completing two months at her new school, she sent us a message and asked if she could come back. She said, “Bradford is my home. I felt accepted and the teachers truly cared about me as an individual.”
Today, both Jada and Andre are excelling at Bradford Academy. Their mom believes Bradford is a gem in our community and tells all of her friends about us.
